George has an obsession with the smell of bleach, when I've bleached the kitchen floor he'll roll around for hours on it long after I've stopped smelling it. He doesn't lick it though.
They are all partial to baked beans.
That's so funny, as our last cat Charlie (RIP) loved to lick our hands if we'd been using bleach, he loved it....AND, he loved baked beans too! :rotfl:
Btw, the cat we have now is called George!

The cat we live with (Binky) likes to sniff car bumpers! She doesn't do anything like all the other cats on this thread though.....obviously more refined!!0

Well I won't be looking out of the window to see if they are sniffing car bumpers.
Do you honestly think that this Post makes any sense to sensible cats?0 -
My kitten is obsessed with my jumpers and bathrobes. She will sit on my chest purring away and will knead me with her paws whilst licking and chewing my jumper / bathrobe. I am sure she thinks I am another cat and that she is trying to "clean" my fur lol.0

It cant be Healthy to lick the coating on the photo, or even burn through that and like the INK.
cats tend to do odd things when their:
Stressed.
suffering ill health I.E has a sore mouth from an ulcer and licking the photo is giving the cat a distraction.
overstimulation, some cats will get over stimulated with pleasure some scratch/bite out during a petting session then run round like loon for 10 mins, some cats get addicted (im sure of it) to things that overstimulate their minds so in this case the cat maybe going to the pictures because the chemicals in the coating gives the cat sensory stimulation they same way catnip does and has become addicted to the feeling of it and the only way to get that feeling back is to get to a photo.
over active thyroid problems could be another cause.
ive had my fair share of eccentric cats in my house hold, from one who loved to sleep in a pray position, eat fruit and veg, chrisps, and not touch any proper cat food, to one who would sleep in the sink, pee and poo in the toilet (never flushed though) and have a bath with me in it to the point I had to shut him out the bathroom which ensued heavy yowling scratching at the door because he was locked out, drink out the tap and ignore a full bowl of water next to him, go for walks with me my mum house or jump in the lower basket of a pram and take a nice nap and trip to town on the local bus, would eat a lemon neat and whole if you let him, open the fridge and raid it at night, to another cat (tinkerbell) who would get under any bonnet of car with me when working on one, take a trip in the car to pick up my kids from school (how many stupid looks I got from by standers I got if had £1 for each one I'd be a billionare),she'd take walk with me to my mums also, sometimes go on her own and get a taxi back with mum and dad (and its a far ways away to mums for a cat to go), would sleep in a shopping bag, and once got in a visitors bag and nearly got taken home with her if it weren't for the extra weight in her bag, jump in anyones car, frightened my neighbor last summer when he was hovering out his car tinks jumped in lay on the back seat while he was hovering the front not noticed when he moved to the back he put his down still didn't notice she was on the seat until he put his head and tinks stared at him he jumped a mile hit his head on the frame of the car and fell backwards turning the hoover off, tinks politely meowed curled up and went to go back to sleep on his seat until I got her out she was peeved off with me, so I put her in my car and put the back window down for her.
iv got a ragdoll cocoa, he's hell bent on escaping the house through anything that's open, only to run round the back of house and yowl like a little crying baby to come in the back as the world outside is so frightening, he wont settle on adults laps but he loves my kids laps and sleeps in with them at night.
my ex cat barney (who meritaten my mum) kindly took over care of as he was too stressed at my house, loves eating plastic, and present ribbon and bows (see grandcat having extended sleepover for the famous barney thread).
lilly my little tabby bless her, anything that resembles furr she scags pads, kneeds, face rubs and sucks (very loudly) and purrs away like a old diesel engine. scared of her own shadow, and comes across to everyone as if she's hardwork, trueth is yes she will run from a stranger, but when she get to know you she's a cutie pie will let you stoke, pick up and give her as much attention love and kisses as you want. she's completely devoted to me and when im sleeping wont leave my side and will cuddle me in.
even had a MBU puffer fish (pronounced MA-BOO or MA-BU) that would follow through the tank, take prawn from my fingers, have a belly tickle, wink, blink, smile, yawn and wiggle his whole body like a little puppy all excited to see you. he was fond of glass intank thermometers and often chewed through them so I had to stop using them ones and resort to digital probe temp monitors, this puffer was relaxed around any kind of fish there is in tropical communities which is rare for these fish shame he got stuck under rock blowing sand from it foraging (they do in the naturally in the wild so blew sand from side of tank to the other) I didn't get to him time and he puffed up and there was no room for him and he passed with stress and weight f the rock.
sorry long post had to share!!
Id be weening cat from photos to catnip filled soft toys it sounds safer!.0
