Nothing for anyone else to worry about, basically a website was showing as not working, due to the website host, but it turned out it was my ISP that was causing me to get that error message, I only found that out yesterday as it happens when BT went down overnight in my area (Saturday night when I went to bed early) and the problem was finally resolved... So I've explained this to them and shall have to see what happens I guess...

RachelBel, the problem is with Crowdflower not Clixsense. Crowdflower have contacted me now to explain the particular task, it was one task only, not multiple tasks as it first was made to sound, so maybe a miscommunication. Also, Clixsense have been fantastic and they paid me today as usual.

Oh my, that is scary... to accuse you of cheating for NOT being able to access a website... its not like you falsified information or 'winged it' by making up an answer... Saying the website didn't work showed HONESTY imo. I don't even understand how the word 'cheat' can apply to this in any way.

I'm glad its not Clixsense, but the fact that its crowdflower shows how odd a decision... since they're still allowing you to do tasks on other websites - they evidently don't think you ARE cheating.

    And I am back!!!!!

    Yay!

Brian at Crowdflower & Joao at Clixsense have been absolutely fantastic. I had a reply in less than 24 hours, from both companies, and after they worked out what the issue was, and I explained what had happened, they were very polite, kind and understanding then they re-activated my account.

Seen one error message saying I've completed a job elsewhere but that may take a few days/weeks to sort itself out, still, I don't care as I have my account back.

I may sound a little odd explaining this but basically I was trying to load a website, seeing an error that the host website was down, and so I marked on some pages that the websites were not working. I was able to access here, Gmail, Facebook, other sites etc, so it never occurred to me that it was my ISP (BT) causing the problem. I had a picture of a modem, computer, and website with ticks on the modem & computer but an X on the website saying that the host of the website was down, however, it turned out to be caused by BT and now I've had his resolved as they were in my area Saturday night fixing a problem. It was a chance problem that I spoke to my friend about that revealed that the host website wasn't down but it was good old BT!

Still, at least we know they do listen to reason if there is a genuine error and that both CS and CF work together to quickly get things sorted. Phew! On with the tasks I go (hopefully!). I've already checked and my account is back up & running straight away.

It appears as if I was flagged as they knew the websites were working, so they were right to flag me up, but they listened to the reason for the problem and were understanding so I've nothing but good things to say about it all. Obviously I was frustrated that it happened, but they've rectified the problem, in a kind, polite and understanding way and in less than 24 hours too.

The only thing anyone here needs to worry about is if you're having a problem with a website loading visit a website such as 'Is it down for everyone or just me?'

    http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/

This will make it clear if BT is playing up (like it was for me) or if the website is genuinely not working :D

Thanks, I am happy for me too! :) I think I will be extra cautious on tasks now and worrying even if I fail test questions in quiz mode!

    Back from dinner, cleaning up.

Katy that's such a relief, glad they got it sorted for you. Not nice to be accused of something like that
