Pension Split % if you have both worked

Wow - never even considered that pensions would be considered in a settlement - I thought these would be for each individual.
I guess splitting everything makes sense, but just hadn't thought of it before andf it sucks for the person who had the sense to put away for the future.....TTC #3..........0 -

So if one partner worked full-time for 40 years and the other took a break from *paid* employment to bring up *their* children, or perhaps was made redundant and was out of work for several years or maybe didn't have access to a pension with employer contributions, you think their pensions should be calculated individually?0
