    Morning Lovelies!

It's payday wahooo!! Although, once bills are paid and our holiday is paid off not so wahoo, but, only 3 months till we go, which is exciting. But it's worth a month of staying in to be able to go away for a week. We're doing a week in Malta all inclusive my first abroad holiday since 2007!

Lost 5lbs this month, which I am very pleased about, hoped it would be more with all the running I am doing, but I put that down to still enjoying a beer of an evening.

The pupster is feeling much better today after spending all of yesterday on his bed. Starved him for 24 hours so he was ravenous when I made his breakfast.

Not much else to report, got some L/o vegan chilli for lunch with a pita and dinner will be jacket potato with beans.

Going to the pub tonight, but I'm driving so that will keep the spending down I hope! Not much else planned for this weekend except heaps of revision as I'm out Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week!

    Hugs to you all x

    Morning All,

Fell asleep early then woke and didn't go back till 2am:mad:

Having a cuppa at the mo, shower soon.
OH is with MIL. She was 93 at Christmas and always looked after herself, but in the last two weeks has gone down really quickly. Dr is coming today to probably get her into hospital. OH only got 2 hours sleep yesterday, and he has been having to help her on the commode etc, not a nice thing for a son to have to do, even though he was fine with me when I needed that care. I suppose being his mum it's different.

TTFTM - you should report your neighbour. It's people like him that make it difficult for genuine people like me.

Went to a shoe wharehouse yesterday, they are re-locating and you can't usually get in there. Got DGD a pair of Start Rites, and a pair of boots, DGS a sweet pair of Clarkes First shoes with dinosaurs on them. £36 for the three. Thought that was a bargain I couldn't leave.

Had fish & chips with my friend for lunch, and it was lovely. Our chip shop is the best in Hastings:T

Got a Donald Russell order coming today. Steaks for £29 instead of £62. I like their meat, but only buy it when there's an offer on.:rotfl:

Gonzo Good for you, you'll have a great time!

((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) to anyone who needs it.
    Have a good day. x

    Morning all,

Windy - and a high tide due so the seagulls are being flung around and are squawking about it. Nothing has been blown off yet, though the slipped tile on next door's roof might decide to move if the wind does decide to bluster at a few very odd angles.

Dinner tonight is lamb koftas with stir-fry, from a Slimming World recipe.

Today I shall mostly push a red pen across paper. I shall wear my dressing gown again as the blanket just didn't work. The postman looked a bit surprised yesterday but I told him I was fully dressed underneath so he just laughed. Needless to say he was wearing shorts again.

    Stay warm and safe x
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

    Morning all

HH it makes my blood boil that some people on benefits are having several holidays a year  we won't be going away this year because we can't afford it. I'm on holiday this coming week and the only trip I will be taking is to the local supermarket
I'm with hilly on this too, those that really need support struggle to get it because of the greedy few. We are trying to get a walk in shower and stair lift for MIL who is 89 , she desperately wants to stay in her own home but is really struggling with the stairs and can no longer get in and out of the bath. We have filled in the forms and hopefully she will get what she needs but the woman said only if there is enough money left in the pot . If they didn't give out money to those who don't need it there would be money in the pot  rant over:o

Food shopping this morning , then finishing the curtains I'm making for the living room. DH was given a tin of magnolia paint and has put it use in the living room , looks much nicer than the old wallpaper that was up. I managed to get some reasonably priced material for the curtains and I've bought a mirror to go over the fire place:T

Have a good day everyone xx

♫ ♫ The Sun has got his hat on... ♫ ♫

Yay! The sun is out! I think I may go out for a walk and enjoy it for a while. Just waiting for the WM to finish and then I am going to risk pegging it out.

DH's car was sold yesterday, a man who'd seen it and the location map on Gumtree, knocked on spec and bought it. We got more than we hoped for, which is good but I was quite sad seeing it being driven away :(

I have my bed to change this morning and a quick sweep round the kitchen and hall, oh, and I suppose I'd better do the bathrooms too. I was going to clean the oven but seeing as the sun is shining, that may have to wait...

Off to Dobbies for a charity quiz tonight. I like going there as the nibbles they provide are usually rather nice.

    Happy Friday all.

    Morning again everyone

sistercas - I don't know who you've approached for the special adaptions, maybe the local council/social services adult services etc? If you get no joy with them Age UK, may be able to help.

    HTH

    Keep safe and well x

Haven't posted for a couple days as had nothing much to say. Last night managed to sleep for about 9 hours :T
Much better than the on average 3 hours I have been getting for the last eight weeks.
So this morning felt good. Went had shower, dressed put load of washing on then had to have a lie down...lol. Still so very sore and back to doc on Monday.
Am thinking of those who are struggling at the moment and wishing them good things for the future.
Have a great day everyone x
  • Hester I am on Disability benefits and can't afford a holiday, the money goes towards things that I need such as a wheelchair, and other items that I need to help me have independence. It makes me angry when there are those who scam the system because it makes all disabled look like scroungers.

Well I'm having a right result of a day.

Bought 6 2nd hand books on amazon for £11 with free delivery. That should keep me busy till next payday. A colleague bought in some clothes to see if anyone wanted any, I've got myself about 6 new cardigans. AND I just got given 2 free croissants for breakfast tomorrow to celebrate being able to eat butter again! Good Good day.
