It says 'for an ongoing period' for both rates but further on in the letter it says they will contact after Nov 2023 to make sure I am receiving the right level of PIP.

That's great - a long period of peace, then, where PIP is concerned, at least.:T

Congratulations! I know under DLA, we can be assessed at any time. Does this also happen with PIP?

I would hope so as this was one of the main reasons given by the government when they brought out PIP. They complained that awardees of DLA weren't checked often enough!!

The plan was, anyone due for DLA review would be tested for PIP, and any indefinite DLA claimants would be transferred from Oct 2015.

However, due to the large backlog, and auditing, many DLA reviews are running late, and the transfers, it is thought, will be lucky to start in 2016.

Oh thanks, that has really made my day!!

Based on previous estimates they are looking at 2 years + to review and deal with all of the 'indefinites'. That makes it 2018 at least.
Is that really fair on those that became 65 shortly after April 2013? They could well be over 70 before they are re-assessed for PIP!!!
How on earth are they going to be able to cope with the re-assessment especially if they are in the vulnerable category.

No doubt we will hear of stories of 70+ year olds, hobbling along with their Zimmer frame, deaf as a door nail having to be interrogated by ATOS at one of their centres miles away from their home only to be told that there is nothing wrong with them, then having to organise, prepare for and attend a Tribunal in respect of their appeal.

Definitely :). Feels great that it's finally been sorted, 7 months is a long time to wait.
