I've been thinking about this. If the husband fills out the online form for her, she's going to find out his income when she goes for the interview. They give you a copy of the online form to check through before you sign it.
I joined the forum yesterday looking for answers to my own worries. I can identify with this as I am married but have no income or benefits of my own. We're all individuals when it comes to paying tax but a couple when it comes to claiming benefits.
it gets the OP her benefit, it makes sure she does not claim a benefit she is not entitled to and the disclaimer says you "have not knowingly given false information" to me, if she is unable to get this info but knows roughly how much it is, then that is not as far as I believe, knowingly given false info, it's a best guess, I do this with dates all the time.0
