Does anybody agreee with me that the Virgin Television programme guide is not very user friendly. Sky's programme guidein my opinion is far superior.

It's just a TV guide, an alleged lack of quality certainly wouldn't cause me to migrate to another supplier0

Nope. Why do you think this ?0 -
Can't say I agree - I only dislike the colour scheme, everything else is fine.0

I quite like the Virgin EPG
Very easy and intuitive IMOChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
I hated Sky's UI - it looks good but the actual functionality is way lacking compared to VM's.
For a start the numbers are more logical (and less money driven) with VM.
The remote actually has a button to go to the last channel you were on, rather than completely forgetting.
I will say that some of the menus in TiVo are totally irritating, and things like on demand take too long to load the apps on TiVo where as they didn't before.
Oh and if you have Sky TV and VM internet the ondemand you watch on Sky comes out of your VM traffic shaping allowance, where as VM's Tivo has its own built in 10mb Modem and the allowance is separate.0 -
So does Sky's! (blue button)The remote actually has a button to go to the last channel you were on, rather than completely forgetting.
Hardly a deal breaker. No one is forced to download Sky's OnDemand and only the heaviest users are traffic managed.if you have Sky TV and VM internet the ondemand you watch on Sky comes out of your VM traffic shaping allowance, where as VM's Tivo has its own built in 10mb Modem and the allowance is separate.
How many people do you suppose have both suppliers anyhow?0 -

You mean that multi function blue button which takes you where it feels like?
I know someone who used to have both, me, I know someone who does, you.

Not having the privilege of having both Sky and Virgin Media, I could not possibly compare.HopelessCase wrote: »Does anybody agreee with me that the Virgin Television programme guide is not very user friendly. Sky's programme guidein my opinion is far superior.
As I have Virgin Media installed and would never even consider Sky, I can only comment on Virgins TV Guide, of which I am happy with.

I have Virgin for my broadband and Sky for my TV and the Sky on demand works OK with my "unlimited" internet.0 -
I have the same experience, but we are in a tiny minority with such a set up.retiredin2011 wrote: »I have Virgin for my broadband and Sky for my TV and the Sky on demand works OK with my "unlimited" internet.
No way I'd ever have TV from Virgin again, though, no matter how good (or bad) the programme guide was. I'll take channel choice over any decoder functionality any day.0
