2 speeding fines in 45 mins!

In the "olden days", you would have been pulled over and given a stern talking to. Even if it resulted in a prosecution for that one offence, I bet in those circumstances they wouldn't have been speeding in the same place less than an hour later, or anywhere for a while after. Now, there's nothing to make you modify your behaviour till you've already collected a full house of fines in one go.

I don't see how you have a defense at all.

None that I can see either. What you do need is a 'friend' in the force that can make these tickets disappear. Happens all of the time.

I have some potentially pretty bad news for you. Unless one of the tickets attracts a speed awareness course (you can only have 1 in 3 years) you are looking at reverting back to being a provisional licence holder as you have held your licence for less than 3 years. Get over to pepipoo and see if anyone can offer you any advice. The guidelines are hard and fast if convicted.

That's incorrect. It applies to the first two years after passing your first driving test, not three years.
