Sorry I'm slacking on the updates, I'll try and get one done over the weekend. There just aren't enough hours in the day, goodness knows how I'll keep up when I'm back at work.
Anyway today's been a NSD for me # 8 I think. Been for a GP appt and collected a couple of things from arg0s that I deserved but came from joint account. ETA - that should say I'd reserved but clearly the autocorrect knows better. :rotfl:
I'm so please with the way feb is going so far, I really have kept my spends to a minimum.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -

It's generally broccoli (goes to seed), cauliflower, baby sweetcorn, mange tout and asparagus I have wilting on me. I'm slowly introducing hidden veg into meals (such as peppers in the enchilladas I served tonight, and courgette in bolognese), but I have to be careful as I have a son doesn't like veg and will throw a whole meal away if it looks 'suspect'
Hmmm,I love baby Sweetcorn in a chicken noodle soup recipe I have. And mange tout for that matter. Try blitzing the veg and using it in sauces and curries, will make them go further and I bet DS won't taste them.
NSD #8 today. Was going to get a dine in at m&s for tomorrow, then figured I'd be better to wait until the next normal one, when I can get two meals, two sides, two puds and TWO bottles of vino for £20 as opposed to the valentines one where it's starter, main course, side, pud, wine and chocs for £20.
Think I need some more baking bits tomorrow though, been doing a lot recently and OH wants lemon cake again. My pea and ham soup is pretty good though, even if I do say so myself.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

until a few years ago I couldn't even walk past an Indian take-away or restaurant on the opposite side of the road without my stomach trying to empty itself
I've had to learn to cope with the smell a bit due to a lovely Indian couple moving in next door about 6 years agoGoing into their house is still an issue for me though, and I'm always key holder when they're away - which wouldn't be a problem if their alarm didn't go off every couple of days !!
I don't actually make sauces that would blitz either. Other than tomato based ones for using with pasta I can't think of any that would :think:Cheryl0 -
I'm up to 11NSDs so far this month!
Today is the last day of school before half term. And like a mad woman, I've found myself agreeing to make bread with 29 excitable 5-6 year olds!
I'm looking forward to the week off, even though I've got a lot of school work to do, including a horrendous amount of planning for next half term, which is quite a long one, at 7 weeks. I reckon all the planning and the other stuff will take at least 2 full days if I really work hard at it... Sucks.
On the other hand, a few exciting things planned. A trip to Cambridge tomorrow to see a friend, a trip to London on Monday, and coffee with another friend on Wednesday. Now I just need to find something to do later in the week!
I don't know why I'm up so early... My brain suddenly woke me up at about 6am (my alarm doesn't go off until 6:45) and I couldn't settle down again... So I thought I'd get up and have a bit of internet time before the alarm goes off. :rotfl:
I hope those of you with other halves have a pleasant valentines day, if it's something you choose to celebrate. I don't have anyone at the moment, but never been bothered by today. My parents have never celebrated it and they've been happily married for 34 years.Because it's fun to have money!
