My Sainsbury's delivery driver told me to do it, but only create three separate accounts as *something* triggers after three accounts and they stop you ordering.0

For example items which are going half price the next day however have been added to your basket at full price as the system hasn't updated yet.
(Example (not real deal)
Say for example coke 8pk £4.20, half price to £2.10 from 03/02/14. When added to basket if it's £2.10 then it won't work. However if it's £4.20 then it will.
Add 15 packs. £63. Use code for £15 off. Makes it £48. When delivered it will be £16.5 (plus delivery charge) as your receipt will show that the coke has gone through as half price and the code has been accepted also.

Tesco prices change over on Wednesday evenings I believe. So it's best to do a shop at that time
Thanks very much!0 -

The driver will be aware of what is happening every time they get the shopping delivered. However, he is probably not bothered. Whenever a new account is created and a new customer code used the delivery note will have a * next to the name so the driver explains how the service works.Driver wouldnt be responsible for working out payments - so wouldnt know what discounts have been applied ? If they they do know that a discount had been applied - why would they care ?
Same as above * makes driver aware that it is a new account.

But how do you know which items will be going half price?0 -
you look at the half price section in the Special Offers section online.
But I still don't understand the 'logic' of that 'trick' - totally confused.
and to do a week's shopping you couldn't just buy from just the half price stuff - although I check it carefully every week.0 -

It will be. Though may not know about it until the last order doesn't arrive! All the accounts will be closed except one.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
