Coping with staying offline

WiFi has indeed become a most basic need.

Will have no broadband for just over a week until the new supplier switches on their line.

Mobile signal is none to weak. What other options do I have for staying online?

If other Mobile Network operators have a good signal where you are you could buy a unlocked Mifi and data sim from that operator. Cost about £50 from Amazon but plenty on eBay. You could always sell it after the week and get most of your money back.

If you're a BT broadband user then you might be eligable for their free BT wifi which a neighbour might provide (if they're with BT)

Shame you didnt know last week but Amazon had a 3 sim with unlimited data and 300 minutes calls for a month for £8.64 tethering isnt officially supported on it but people had no problems doing so.

In fact right now am using my phones data to tether, I only get 5 meg on landline and at non peak times on my phone goes up and up and after 2am can get 10-20 meg

If you are desperate just pay £15 for a months add on for a 3 sim.
