No Passport

    I wish we had an identity card system in this country - my wife is Italian and they take hers all across Europe instead of a passport. Passport is only needed to get out of Europe.
    It's just a useful backup should the passport ever go missing...in her job she travels all over Europe so it helps.

    We did have - but the conservative government cancelled them

    No thanks not something else to pay for which does the same job as a passport!
