If it says "Windows Firewall is not using recommended setting" and then "Update your Firewall setting" does it mean that the Windows Firewall is still on so my computer still has some Windows Firewall protection?
Can someone to clarify it, please...

What it means is that the Windows Firewall is turned off. You don't need two firewalls on at the same time so if you are going to install or have already installed the Comodo one, leave the Windows one switched off. I think the Comodo one turns it off during its installation process so if that's the case just leave it alone knowing that the Comodo firewall is helping to protect you.

If you have decided against installing the Comodo Firewall then you need to turn on the Windows Firewall via Control Panel/Security. It gives a fairly basic level of firewall protection. Some people say it's sufficient and some prefer more proactive ones like the Comodo one. Bear in mind with the Comodo one it will initially throw up alot of warning boxes while it learns your browsing habits. You'll need to understand what you are allowing by clicking "Yes" so take your time and do your research.

There is a file "Download now" and another one below "Start download". Which one?

Since yesterday I started getting pop up from Comodo saying that "The updates are ready to download. Do you want to download them now? ". Not sure if I need to download them. Any advice, please?

Yes or it will be out of date.

I pressed "yes" and then PrivDog started downloading so I had to cancell the instollation. Looks like it will be hassling me until I download that PrivDog.

In the installer choose the really tiny custom installation link and untick the rubbish, then go back to previous screen and continue the install from there.
