Hit and run - ball park repair cost?
Comments
-
Are you sure it wasn't damaged elsewhere before you parked and you hadn't yet noticed?
It could have been hit on a previous parking occasion, although I suppose the location near the driver door means you would probably notice it sooner rather than later.
It could have been but the car was washed on Sunday and so I checked it after that. The only two places it had been before it was noticed on Tuesday night was at home and at the station car park.
I dont believe it could have happened at home given where its parked but in theory it could have been on Monday at the station but I suspect I'd have noticed it0 -
No paint damage, just a dent pull/straighten and polish, remove the wheel arch liner and it'd be a piece of cake. I did a similar dent on mine, on the rear wheel arch after some numpty rammed a shopping trolley into it.
A repair centre will probably quote for a front wing and a respray/blend on the front corner of the car.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

They already have.InsideInsurance wrote: »So, 3 quotes in, 2 say it has to be replaced as aluminium is too prone to splitting whilst reshaping with both quoting around £1,350
One said it can be fixed not replaced and quoted £160. One outstanding quote being waited for.
Almost tempting to try a fix first and replace if it isnt up to standard0
