You guys are awesome! Thanks so much for all the ideas!:j:T

Can't decide between making a chicken and sweetcorn pie type thing with mash on top, or a sort of colcannon ( I have cabbage, but I can't eat onion so will leave that out). They both sound delicious....but then again, so does the piped mash, and the little 'mash pots' with the beans in the middle......now I have too many choices lol.

I'd add a couple of yolks or 1 egg & make duchesse potatoes, or you can make them into mounds with a dip in the middle to serve something like peas or beans in.

Oooh, mashed potato volcano! OP, if you have sweet potato or butternut squash in, you could mash this too and put inside the "volcano" and then add carrot batons to create a "fire".

I really should grow up :rotfl:

English bubble & squeak, Irish colcannon or Scottish rumbledethumps. Or ...

    POTATO PIE

    Serves 2

    INGREDIENTS

    100g of cheese
    1 quantity of mashed potato

    METHOD

Grate the cheese. Mix the mashed potato and cheese together.

Put the mixture into an ovenproof dish.

Cook in a preheated oven at 200°C, 400°F, gas mark 6 for 30 minutes until golden on top.

    ADDITIONS & ALTERNATIVES

Add ½ a tablespoon of dried parsley.

Sprinkle some more grated cheese on top.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

I'd add blue food colouring and call it Monstrous Mash. They'll either really love the idea, or be so worried you'll make it again that they'll think twice about serenading you with the song the next time normal mash makes an appearance :D
