O2 increasing my tariff

They are increasing my tariff, can they do this, I have a contract with them?

    Have they given you a reason?

    Are you past the minimum term of your contract?

    If they increase it without your authorisation then you can terminate the contract, without penalty

    Its my understanding that as the contract states they can increase prices once a year so long as it's below the (I think) RPI you can't terminate for free.

    Best bet is to join the linked discussion as its all in one spot.

    you fail to mention 02 are Also Increasing out of bundle calls and texts, which as nothing to do with RPI hike.

    Interesting discussion on the other thread suggesting that o2 hope that most people will shrug their shoulders and thole it whereas others may just fight it and tell them where to stick their revised contract.

    Thanks everyone, they are increasing the tariff because of inflation rising or something, and the prices will go up because everything else is going up, and they are working hard at new technology....


    I am due to upgrade next Jan 15 2 year contract.

    That's cos I didn't realise that was for in-contract customers at the time. So that bit is not acceptable!

    Im with 02 they put my bill up in October and now ive just got a text saying they are doing it again can they do that twice in 4 month. Still in a contract with them
