Parking Eye PCN - Claims Form

Hi,
I have received a Claim form from Northampton Bulk Centre, for a PCN ticket issued by Parking Eye yesterday dated the 17/01/2014.
I parked here along with three others they all received a ticket but myself. I then received a notice to owner which I replied to advise I had not received a Notice to Owner, having not heard any response I believed all had been dealt with, until today when I received this claim in the post.
Please can you offer so guidance on how I should handle this matter. The information I have read so far is not very clear.
Thank you in advance

same advice as in here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4876909
the PCN must have been issued last year or possibly earlier , so that date must be the court letter date0 -
And I always suggest newbies with a PE Court claim read:
a) the sticky thread 'Private Parking ticket, old or new? Newbies read these FAQs first' as it has a Court Claim section with links to what to do when, and to recent cases won against PE that you can learn from, and to the parking Prankster's guide to defending a PE claim.
and
b) Go to pepipoo here and don't just randomly start a thread, instead firstly read back a good 12 pages on that forum, clicking and reading ANY 'ParkingEye Northampton/Court papers/claim/defence/help!' thread title:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=60
It is worth doing, just reading loads of pepeipoo threads just like your own which are further along the process, or already won/lost/negotiated/cancelled. There are 'PE small claims' threads every 5 or 6 threads on that forum and you can see how things pan out, what happened, did the person make an offer, were they sent a without prejudice offer, did they get any joy complaining to the Retailer Managers on site, did they have receipts, did they ever go to a hearing, if so what happened...all of that will help you. I can see cases on just this first page which answer your question about when to send a skeleton defence - and I KNOW there are at least two winning ParkingEye hearings outlined in pepipoo threads in the last week or two.
If your friends haven't got Court papers yet, have they had Letters before Claim? If so then they should respond even late, to enter into comms (and I am not saying make an offer! They need to look at the 'LBCCC fightback' sticky thread and so do you, to check whether PE followed the Practice Direction or not which can be mentioned in your defence.
I will send you a pm about something else to add to your defence submission.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
