Holiday Haggler I've been Money Tipped!
I lived in Leagrave for 10 years and loved every minute of it. 10 mins from the shops, 35 minutes on the train from London. I could Barton Hills out of my bedroom window. I wanted a more rural property though and moved November 2013. The greenbelt is now at the end of my garden.

I'd avoid Luton like the plague and if you must live there, do not go to Bury Park, unless you want to be enriched, in a very unpleasant way.

Some of my friends lived in Bedford. It was hellish near the train station.

Some parts of town seemed to be ok.

To be fair we did go with them for a night out on the tiles, I was expecting chav ground zero, which it was; but in a quite a friendly way. And we actually had a fun evening.

The main problem with Bedford is that a lot of people move there for the house prices, and then dont realise that they are going to be absolutely crucified on the cost of a rail pass into London, which may well negate any saving.

The railway station in Bedford is not in a good part of town. There are some quite good residential areas and there is some ongoing town centre regeneration. Some nice villages north along the Ouse Valley.
