Just completed my matched betting for today. Cheated with the ironing - put everything in the tumble drier then gave it a shake as it came out and folded it - I am working on the principal that the money spent on the tumble drying will be outweighed by the money saved on the ironing

I'll second that. :T
I went to visit a friend the other day who was ironing socks and knickers to get them dry. She said the weather wasn't fit to peg them out and her husband wouldn't have a tumble drier because they use to much energy. Goodness knows how much of her energy all that ironing uses! :eek:Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.

Energy of more than one type is being used when ironing - the electricity that is being consumed, the physical energy she is using by ironing, especially for so long, to dry stuff, and the emotional draining energy that accompanies ironing. Or is that just me

 Miffed!
Have been sitting here all week waiting to hear whether I would be required to go to any customers this week (I am at my OHs house in Horsham which is an easier commute to London) and haven't heard from anyone all week!
So, thought, as OH is out with the boys tonight, that I would make the trip over to the house by the sea as I tend to get more study done (assignment due but its a nightmare commuting into London from there) and have so much I would like to sort out there.
So what happens? I get a phone call - "can you go to Docklands tomorrow or maybe Friday for a meeting?? Oh, someone is trying to get through to me so I will phone you back in a mo'"
That was an hour ago! Now I don't know what to do!!! I don't mind going to the customer, but will be miffed if I end up sitting here like a lemon until Friday and no one contacts me!!!
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I'd give it until 5pm then go if you still haven't heard.

I defrost my freezer most months..a tip:- when you have defrosted it this time..wipe the inside over with comfort-shut it up and switch it on and leave for about 30mins.....then next time you do it, the ice won't have frozen so hard..it just drops off in sheets....and i have never had the comfort smell transfer onto food...but you can do the same thing with glycerine if you want to be certain...
And christmasshopper....are you sure you have it switched off:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Thanks for the tip. Do you think it will work with Tesco Value instead of Comfort? I'm going to try it.
