Notice of Intention to Marry

Just wondering whether Notices of Intention to Marry are available to view online, or are they just pinned to the noticeboard at the Registrar's Office? I've had a search online but can't find anything, other than mention of the noticeboard , which seems a bit basic in this day and age!

We were told that ours would be on an electronic notice board .

As far as I'm aware they just go up on a board in the registry office.
I'm debating going back at some point to take a picture of mine if I can - that's really sad isn't it?!"A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
I didn't get chance to take a picture of mine
Oh well only 2 more months until we get married.
As far as I know it just goes up in the registry office not online.0 -
...or if you got married in church, (Anglican), the banns were read in the churches where the bride and groom live - on the three Sundays before the date of the wedding! And we were supposed to be in church to hear them read!
I've just checked up, and this archaic custom still remains! See http://www.thisischurch.com/helping_you/banns_of_marriage.html0 -

No no one will be able to find out the details unless they go in. I called a registry office to get the right time for MIL2B's wedding and was told they weren't allowed to tell me incase I wanted to disrupt it
