So in effect you have a continous claim i.e new dla claim starts day after old award ends. Surely it makes sense to be able to apply slightly in advance so ensure there is no gap where people are stuck without a badge. I remember when Mine was recently renewed I was encouraged by my council to apply 6 weeks before my previous badge expired.

Yes i was advised to start my renewal in advance, but when i got to one of the council centres they told me that i couldnt put in for a new badge untill the start of my new dla period.
