He could wear a t-shirt under a jumper or coat without causing issues.

Personally, I am waiting for the next bit of the saga...

Clearly identified advisor at training organisation complains to job centre about sexual harassment on public website, and job centre sanctions GG for inappropriate behaviour.

There shouldn't be issues, My Job Centre needs to do he's Job, not moan about my clothing of tshirt.

How can a tshirt cause me to be sanctioned, I can understand if I haven't been applying for Jobs, But I have done, I always bring proof in everytime I sign on, I think its just a stupid excuse to sanction me that's all.

Also if he felt my tshirt was not suitable then why did he wait for my 5 or 6 appointment to tell me, why didn't he tell me on my 1st or 2nd appointment, you see, Job Centre advisers make up the rules as they go along.

    But that's the problem.
The OP appears to thrive on causing issues.

OP heres an idea, wear another t shirt or wear something over the top of another 1 for your next appointment.

I understand your gay but you dont have to tell everyone, would you wear that kind of t shirt to a job interview or in a job that required wearing a suit ? No is the answer.

God gives us strength! You really are silly do you know!

Answer two questions, (which others have asked!) Why do you feel the need to ram your sexuality down others throats (pardon the pun!) Why can't you wear an ordinary plain t-shirt, or zip your coat up? Or for that matter anything that does not stream the words 'You are Gay!' on it!

It seems to me you are just looking to get sanctioned so you can cause a fuss and have a pity party for one!

It seems very likely that there are other issues that they are concerned about here. Changing the t-shirt would seem to be a useful step forwards in dealing with the job centre IMO and engaging with them in a positive manner. That might change their attitudes and might make them more keen to help and less likely to find problems.

You're within your rights to pursue the matter on equality grounds if you wish but IMO it will make your life considerably more difficult than it needs to be. IMO the best step if you really want to raise it as an issue would be to write a letter noting you are uncomfortable not being allowed to wear the t-shirt but will comply with the request whilst the matter is looked into.
  • Is this the same poster who on a previous thread said they'd never get sanctioned??
