And Baby Makes Three....

Good Morning Idee2111
Thanks for the advice.
Last time we saved £9k, (£1k per month to cover the shortfall). We rarely used it, as although we had another mouth to feed, we also had reduced our outgoings, diesel money etc.
So basically we now have £4k over our necessary baby savings. I think you are right though - wait and see, then load the catapult.
OH has been signed off from work, so this is helping increase the savings too - still getting paid by work, but not having the large commute to pay for.
Oh well, with that quick update, I shall head off to work.
"hi ho, hi ho" and all of that.

Good evening all.
My oh my!! Where has the time gone.
Less than 5 weeks until little FLC arrives. Do I change the thread title?? Can I??
Progress Report...
£91k left approx. Next payment will take us sub-£90k.
I am currently very addicted to Swagbucks. I played at it for over a year. But recently having read a few blogs on how to do it properly I am obsessed.
Very close to achieving target for 31 days. Cashed in £35 this month. Close to another £10.
Savings are healthy. Looking at £13k to have as a nest egg with OH is on mat leave. She is the bread winner of the household. Will resist making any OP till we know if we have enough saved.
Next bombshell is OH wants to go to australia to visit her sister in law.
This could affect MF by 50!

So today....I finally crossed the £90k barrier. For the last time my mortgage read £90k. I had achieved this two years ago, then borrowed £20k to build an extension prior to baby FLC arriving.
This month though we both have received bonuses, and sold tax and NI free shares given through work. Mrs FLC has stashed the money to one side - she starts maternity leave again soon, and also wants to visit her sister in Sydney - an expensive flight for us all!!!
I phoned our provider today, and our total was £90,771 and paid £1k off this. Its not showing on our account just yet - but I am very excited to see my mortgage starting with an £8x,xxxk.
Still a massive long way to go. I am trying to focus it on being 90 steps of £1k.
Oh and two weeks to go until baby makes FOUR!

Hi FLC, just read your diary from the beginning. It may seem like you've struggled, but you're back to where you were before the renovations in just two years - that's a pretty good achievement!
