Cancel sky but keeping landline number

I was considering cancelling my current sky package (phone, broadband & TV) and signing up in my girlfriends name. Either straight away or wait until the half price offer is available again.

I believe this is one solution as she has never had sky before and would be accepted as a new user.

However, is there a way to keep our current landline number because we would effectively be cancelling the phone line and not porting out via a MAC code?

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

If you try to keep your original number you will be alerting Sky to the fraud you are attempting to perpetrate.
New customer deals are only available to new customers, not those already availing themselves of a Sky account (albeit through a partner).

Thanks for the replies. Clears that one up. Is it actually classed as fraud in the eyes of the law?
