The sign says the charge is liable for parking without permission but does not say whose permission is required or how to contact them.

Is this retail park or what?

Interesting that the sign includes "per day", closing off one of the popular questions relating to how long you are allowed to park if you pay the fee. :)

It is the same sign as in lesnmandy's case which was refused at POPLA. I am helping them with a complaint of course but in this OP's case we really need to nail the 'no contract' wording in strong words (not just saying a wishy washy 'I don't think they have authority or a contract' in case they also get Farah Ahmad as the Assessor!).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, sorry not usually able to get online during the week, busy as hell. This wasn't in a retail park, but behind a high street, used generally by shop staff I guess. I will take the advice and snap some shots after dark at the w/end and post them, judging by your responses this could be more problematic than I first thought, but thanks for persevering. B.

When you post the pics I have a version of a stronger POPLA appeal which 'should' work I think but then again I wrote lesnmandy's appeal which is currently the subject of a POPLA complaint. I have learnt a bit more about CPM now though which will help! Search the forum for lesnmandy to read their thread because the POPLA appeal they sent will be a start but will need real 'belt and braces' stuff added to slap POPLA into submission...

  • Hi, I've got some pics of the notices at night and intend to get some pics of the entrance today and post tonight. I hope this helps, links below, just add the http in place of the asterix',

I don't know if it's relevant, but I noticed an old clamping sign next to the newer charge notice, I'll get a daylight photo of that too. B.

The two above pics are of the entrance area, as you can see, it's not a car park as such, more of a loading area. B.

When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

  • Hi detox,

I hope you don't mind me infringing on your post, but looking at your photos I realise it is the same car park I got my notice from. I posted earlier about not having access to the signs as I am currently away from the area, and only have 8days left to appeal as the letter came while I was on holiday.

I'm trying to compile my soft appeal, and now I'm sure of what the sign says, I wonder if you guys could help me out with it?

    Many thanks

Please create your own thread on this, no two situations are the same
