Have just found your diary, and have subscribed. I also am into gardening, running, drinking tea and eating cake, so it sounds like an interesting read! I haven't read it all yet, but will try and keep up.

bloody phone making me look like an idiot  :rotfl:
brought lunch but it was what i'd packed for yesterday and didn't put in fridge when i was ill... some of it alright but salady stuff smelt a bit vinegary - not best when stomach is a bit delicate! so spent £2 on supplementary foodand then had an unexpected cuppa with a pal at the station so another £2 on a sadly undrinkable herbal tea
should have gone for chamomile but ended up with, actually no idea what it was but looked like pot pourri and smelt about as appetising to my dicky stomach :rotfl:
ah well...
Should find out this week about going full time and how long it'll be for. Should work out about £300 a month i think which will be nice! :j :j
course fees about £700 over 2 years so i could just pay those off in one go and not have to think about them againmight do that

Hopefully starnac!
Got home to Mr Cheery talking to a pal about his recent trip to New York - apparently Mr Cheery would quite like to go there too... Best get saving then!
(Is this the time to confess I've *never* been out of the UK on holiday before? I've been to Austria and Denmark for work conferences, and to France on a weekend school trip, but my only other holidays have all been either Wales or Scotland... I confess the idea of going any further kind of scares me a bit!:rotfl: )
£1.50 milk and chocolate at the stationleaving me with only 50p for meeting donation

Ummm...did I dream you going to Belgium last year?!
(I quite possibly did of course...or am confusing you with someone else!) I've never been to many places either - a couple of trips to Poland, one to Paris (loved it) Dublin...and Barcelona on that rugby trip. There are other places on my list but I've not got there yet!
Well done on target-reaching too - not having to pay any more is a definite bonus! :T🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

You're right!! :rotfl: :rotfl: I did indeed pop to Belgium to visit a pal for about 36 hours
Went on the Eurostar and because it was such a short trip and didn't feel like much effort I entirely forgot!!
:rotfl:
New York feels a bit more epic though
Just had a phone call which reminded me that my full time working has yet to be properly confirmed (they're not sure how much of me they can afford :rotfl: ) so I'd best not start spending it all yet0 -
New York sounds fab! I lived in the states for nearly a year, didn't get that far north though. Would love to go back.
We are going camping in Germany this year. The in-laws live in the netherlands, so we are going to roll it all together, visit them, then jump over the border and see Germany. Camping should keep it nice and MSE :money:September £10.00 a day challenge £2.50 per day = £75 for the month. £7.84 down £63.16 to go0 -
camping sounds fab em-im :j where did you live in the states? (not that i know any geographical things about the states at all but i can look!
)
i should really trot about the world a bit and see a few more places. Never travelled as a kid, then never had the cash, then didn't want to fly, and now just in the habit of holidaying locally. We'll see.
NSD number 7 yesterday, woo hoo! :j :j :j maybe i can redeem myself slightly after all:rotfl:
trotting to york today but just for the afternoon, running an event in town and no point going to the office first meaning abit of a lie in :j
should probably get up now though :rotfl:
let's see if i can manage another NSD today! :j :j :j0 -
I lived in Birmingham, Alabama. Which is quite funny, as I grew up not so far from Birmingham, UK!:rotfl:It all got a bit messy, and I had to come back home earlier than I had planned. I wanted to go to New York and come home on a cruise ship. Didn't happen though.
Camping should be fun. We regularly go camping for summer holidays, as it allows us to go further for the same money. Went to Sweden last year, which was VERY expensive, even camping. Have only just paid it off in fact, so we have decided it is germany this year. DS wants to go to Germany too because they have exciting trains, and it is easy to get to from the in-laws, so everyone happy! :jSeptember £10.00 a day challenge £2.50 per day = £75 for the month. £7.84 down £63.16 to go0
