Ah, biscuits ... one of the essentials of life :)

Good for you on the garden centre stuff - guess what, just in the last month, between Stopzilla, Hotpoint and the local National Trust place, I've initially been overcharged by £80!!! All of them caved in, of course :D but it really does show you what they might get away with!

Hope you've caught up on yourself a bit today, Cheery :)

Gosh KC, that's a lot of overcharging!! And that's why it's a good job we did our maths homework at school - we might never have noticed!

Lovely day today :j Off work, went to leeds for a meeting about diploma stuff, it was lovely, brilliant and really productive :j :j Nice to get home this early too :rotfl:

Met someone at lunchtime, but took leftover pasta and ate on the train so just had a cuppa :j and someone bought us a piece of cake :D Few spends - the train, bus ticket, and then some bondaweb to fix jeans, hair dye, tweezers (ours lost in the Great House Sorting)

Nice evening by myself planned - dying hair and ringing pals and crossing some things off the list that I added at today's meeting... :rotfl:

    It was indeed lovely :j

A bizarre day today :rotfl: 'networking event' at lunchtime with some farcical puns and presentations and a really crap buffet, caught admin team feeding a duck out of the office window on the way back :rotfl: Rang the roofer who said 'i've got to confess, i'm in the pub, can you email me?' :rotfl:

Then we went out for tapas in what bizarreoy turned out to be a specialiy sherry bar :rotfl: Not had sherry since i was disgusted at it in trifle as a kid :rotfl: Went down quite nicely tonight! :rotfl:

Got back and Mr Cheery has pulled down the polystyrene ceiling tiles in the entrance nd is planning a skylight... :rotfl:

Oh my! He's really got the bit between his teeth, hasn't he :rotfl:

Interesting that you went to a sherry bar! I converted at home from wine to port, just last year. I like "a" drink occasionally - and might not have another one for a month or so, and if you do that with wine, you either think "I should finish it because its open" or pour it down the sink - keeping it to use in cooking hasn't really worked either. So I have a bottle of port - massively cheaper, and a lovely rich tang :D

I want a duck that I can chat to out of the window :j

Port sounds very sophisticated too :D

We've usually got a bottle of something on the go, usually something sweet for me - amaretto, limoncello, baileys (aldi's own of course) etc :D Just a little drink before bed sometimes is very nice indeed. Not tried port though!

Got soaked on bike this morning. First time it's rained this year on a day I've been in the office!! Midguard on foldy bike has completely bust and I have no idea where waterproof trousers are so just had to get wet - backside has been rather soggy all morning, not pleasant! :rotfl: Dried out mostly now with radiator on full although I now feel in need of a nap :rotfl:

I dried out eventually and it was lovely nd sunny on the trip home :j

My eldest nephew is 9 today, can't believe it! Doesn't seem like five minutes ago he was born (and my little sister no way seems old enough to be mother to a nine year old! :rotfl: )

Mr Cheery has found us a new cafe to go to tomorrow :j Can't quite believe we didn't know about it already, or how excited I am :rotfl: All I know is that it's in a charity shop, and they have goats :rotfl:
