Does anyone have the S3? I have a question!
I am posting this here as nowhere else seems to know. I've asked in phone shops, to well meaning friends and have tried Google, I still have no answer.
Its the widgets. On the S3 you can view all your apps and also on another set of pages can view a load of widgets.
I just want to know how to delete the widgets!
I started off with 1 page of widgets in late December 2013, but just learning how to use the phone and a few trial and errors later and I have 16 pages of widgets, many with 2-7 copies or so widgets hiding on one widget-icon...
If I need to search for something, I have to wade through these pages, if I follow others instructions to delete (keep pressing on the widget and drag to the bin icon) whilst normally this would delete everything else, the widgets are not going anywhere. I have no idea how to delete them and it would appear no one else I've asked knows either. If you know, please let me know as I am going slowly mad trying to get rid of them!

uninstall them? either from the apps store (my apps) or whatever they change it to in the next hour.
Or settings/more/app manager. This varies on firmware but its in settings somewhere.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I've got a Nexus 5 but as it's android many features are similar.
Looking through the widgets on my phone I have quite a few recent ones that relate to various apps that I have downloaded and these provide optional icons to open up and run the app. It may be these that you are encountering in which case you can't remove the widget without removing the app as they are linked.
Similarly, I have downloaded various weather apps and these come with a multitude of widgets which provide optional appearances for you to choose from to appear on your phone.
I have only ever had to access the widget area when setting up a new app so the large number shouldn't be too much of an issue if they are valid. You shouldn't be having to access them on a regular basis to run an app. Once the widget has been dropped onto your phone home screen as a one-off action then that's it.
I an guessing that if you want to remove them then you need to identify the related app and delete that as well otherwise the widget will just reappear.

Personally i am a great believer in the back to basics route .

Have you downloaded any apps from the Play Store?
Sometimes apps have shortcuts/widgets so you can access them easily on your home/clock page.
Each app varies & there may be multiple widgets just for one app.
They will automatically show in the widgets section, & the only way to remove them is to uninstall the actual app.0 -
If your creating new shortcuts your missing the bin.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
