hi all,
a relative went into the argos store and purchased a product using vouchers. There was a nominal change, but when the relative requested this, she was told she was not entitled to changed as Argos dont give change from vouchers.
The relative went home, and saw "change" at the bottom of her reciept, with the nominal change. Does Argos give change from store vouchers?

It probably depends on the type of voucher used.
If it was a gift voucher/card that somebody paid for then you are entitled to the change.
If it is one of the £5 or £10 vouchers for spending over a certain amount then you are not as it will be in the terms of the voucher.0 -
I think most paper vouchers say no change, not just Argos, standard practice. The electronic gift cards are better as you take off what you spend and use the rest another time.
It's usually printed on them no change given - just checked the love2shop ones and they also say no change. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Do you mean paper vouchers?
Were they Argos ones (do they even still do these?), or ones like love2shop or Bonus Bonds?
If the latter, like elsien says, they usually have 'no change given' on them. Can't comment on what might be on an Argos paper voucher as it's been years since I've seen one!0 -

I used to give Love to shop vouchers up to just below the value of the purchase and give the balance in cash when I used to get them as bonus's at work. I have had gift cards from Debenham's and Argos with up to £1 change on them. Some stores don't follow their own procedures write to their HQ Customer services and ask what their official line is.0
