Oh and anyone being indecisive about going to look for 1p bits just go, me and Truffle Hunter were working around a SA scanning stuff instore today. :rotfl:

Of course we had good info and could pick out things, she was having to scan everything. ;)

One ahead of the game. :D
  • Afternoon all

    Such sad news today.
Hugs from the heart for those concerned:(

Very cold hear and news on my pressure switch is tomorrow now so facing another day with no heating.

With this in mind I am planning a road trip.
One way down the motorway to collect my m7s bubble bath to see if quidco are still playing ball. Then the mr t there to look for 1p items.
After that cathederal town for m7s food, then off tp cr00ksfoot.
Matty17 or naebbirac does this store have any scanners hidden away.
Or further more has this store been stripped already?

I figure it will be warmer in the car than staying at home today which is a shame as I have a painting to put the finishing touches on b4 tomorrow.

Barcodes for headphones would be most useful if anyone has them.

    Afternoon all

Managed to find some 1p bargains this morning. All reported stuff tho moshi series 4 the 8 pack pencils some of the e shaw amaretto things and some silver pear listed party balloon packs. Strangely balloons also require an over 25 check !!!! But as happily did check and I got 3 bags of goodies.

Totally understand the feeling that people think we are unhinged got asked today by my mum why would I buy 15 packs of pencils. It seems "because they were a penny" is not a valid response. Thing is I had been getting them at 5 p and donating to the school my little ones go to so headmistress should be very happy later today :) may even let them have a couple boxes of the amaretto for the staff room

My heart goes out to those facing sadness in life at the mo i hope you all have family or friends (RL and virtual) to help you thru things

Thanks Tigerwhite and sorry to hear about your friend's loss too.

I'm not sure if it's to move on or not, she was desperate for another baby and still is but we're both in our forties, we have 3 kids already and it would be difficult financially if another baby comes along.

I think I'm okay, my wife has been having counselling for the past few months. Apparently at the sessions they do discuss me and the counsellor has taken a keen interest in my shopping habits. So either she is worried about my mental welfare or wants to know about the bargains I've been getting.

This is so funny, not the counselling the counsellor.
Of course they think you're unhinged now, as like someone said earlier .......other people just don't get it.
I find this reaction all of the time, once they really understand they are quite envious but still don't really get it.
Hugs to your family and keep on at it, you know it makes sense x
:rotfl: that part did make me laugh :o maybe the counsellor is just a lurker, or goes on HDUK :p But on a serious note, good that your wife is talking to a counsellor to help come to terms with the loss. these kind of things can make you evaluate your own existence and mortality. Positive thoughts to you and your family :A

  • checked Mt T in Sk1pt0n for 1p sweets/choccies - no Thorntons toffee, ES flutes, Lindor bags, Finest Cranberry Fudge, Lindt Caramel :(:(
It's usually slim pickings in that store TBH, but I just had to go and check - it was like an itch I had to scratch ... you know what I mean, don't you?:)
