Could you please tell us more about your work pattern?

Did you say it was a 24 hour "sleep in " shift?

How does that work and how are you paid for it?

In general you work until the clients go to bed and you then go to bed yourself hopefully until morning but may need to get up and work at some point. The sleep time tends to get a flat rate sum (my cousin gets £28) and if needed to work gets usual hourly rate. In the morning you get up as usual and are then on duty again. Hope that helps.
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Thankyou everyone for your help. I think I have sorted it now.

Im also now thinking about wether or not to go back and if this is the right line of work/company for me. I do enjoy my job, but sometimes I feel the company isn't right, a lot of workers complain sbout the company and the way they do things, so I know its not just me being picky. The problem now though will be finding a new job.

Ive edited a few posts as I feel some of it gives off a little too much info. Im really greatful for all the helpful posts I recieved though :)

    2. It seems unreasonable to me for the employer to insist the OP returned to work after her visit to hospital. When the OP went to hospital the employer had no idea of the severity of the injuries, so how could they insist in advance that the OP returned to work?
This is very true, and often I think a mark of a good employer: the one who says "get yourself back to work regardless of whether you're fit or not" isn't one I'd care to work for.
