I would suggest a more effective strategy is to appeal to POPLA and cost the PPC £27+ VAT and the BPA £100.
As well as Lewisham, Islington is in that list.Originally Posted by shortcrust

I sent out an email today, and got about 20 responses...
I'm considering creating a database of names and frequently asked questions, and then using a home server to randomly generate an email (and email address), and then send an email say...twice a day.
That should keep them busy, if they choose to respond. Which they almost certainly will, because they will find it hard to distinguish my emails from legitimate ones.0 -
Are you going to use a random text generator, a bit like this guy here?

OK here's what someone I know did before. He had an ongoing appeal with a PCN company, and they suddenly they stopped responding to him because they were inundated by the results of following....:
Step 1: Get a list of 10,000 invented names off google. Create list of various email addresses from the names (yahoo, hotmail, gmail etc), greetings, goodbyes. Also use formula to create random serial numbers and vehicle registrations, and email subjects.
Step 2: Visit the website of the parking enforcement company and get a list of FAQs, and some of your own. You could quite easily make a list of about 200 in a few mins. This will form the message.
Step 3: Using something like Atomic Mail Sender you can spoof an email address using an email server, bringing in all the fields randomly to generate an email and automate it to send regularly at a set frequency.
Step 4: Relax.0 -
Hi, I have recently received a parking ticket from PCM UK Ltd.
The car park was used as customer parking for the bank but has recently been taken over by PCM (apparently). I have had this before with another company which i had lots of letters from but didnt actually do anything as they are scammers.
Does any one know if this is the same with PCM?0 -

Definitely not with any PPC in England and Wales (unless you really know what you're doing and/or are aware of the risks of doing so), however -
You do need to start a new thread of your own, as we work on the basis of 'one case, one thread' so advice doesn't become confused and/or we have a complete free for all with any number of random cases being tagged on.
But first of all you do need to read thoroughly the NEWBIES FAQS sticky at the top of the forum index (one page back from here) which will give all of the initial information you need. It was written by Coupon-mad, one of the country's most knowledgeable people in dealing with private parking tickets. You won't find anything more comprehensive than this anywhere online.
The sticky is detailed and you might need a couple of 'passes' to digest it, so bite sized chunks with a cup of tea over a couple days might be the best approach. You do need to make the effort to do some research via the sticky before asking for further help from regulars - we are so busy each day it's impossible to type and constantly repeat basic information - hence the sticky with all that stuff covered. But do come back after reading it if anything isn't clear to you.
But, - via a new thread of your own please.
HTHPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
