Hi,
What are eBay doing with their postage costs?!
They're awful. You sell something and list it as Royal mail 1st class but they only let you charge £3 even when RM's website says it will cost you £4.10. Madness!
If you select that you are going to send something like a game CD as Special Delivery it will also only let you charge £3! That costs me £6.95!
I understand that loads of people too the pi55 with delivery charges but surely they can just reflect the prices RM actually charge.

Did you consider asking this question on the ebay board?0

Plus Ebay now take 10.0% of your postage charge as a fee then Paypal take another 3.4%, so you only get £2.60 of that £3.00.0

I'm not talking about the delivery charges in hope they'll change their mind, they have a monopoly, where else are you going to go?! lol0

Incorporate the true postage cost (including any fees etc.) into your starting/asking price and list it as free postage?0

You actually end up with less than this as both ebay & paypal fees have vat @15% added to them. A lot of people tend to overlook this. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

That's included in the percentage charged.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. List more than one postage option so £3 for 2nd class and £7.50 for example for special delivery. This should get around it0

Some categories are capped, postage cannot be increased.List more than one postage option so £3 for 2nd class and £7.50 for example for special delivery. This should get around it
You can add whatever postage options you want once you have taken the first one with the cap- obviously though buyers will pay the cheapest in around 99.9999% of purchases. Therefore it does not get round the cap.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
