Parody only works when they get their facts right though:
1) Most Free Presbyterians don't kneel to pray in church;
2) There's no way they could ever possibly be considered to be in the 'happy clappy' wing of the church!
(That and the fact that it's not particularly funny)
It works because its funny and current, though granted, not 100% accurate.0 -

I read yesterday that some of our esteemed politician(s) have now spoken out about Katy Perry claiming that her dance moves are "satanic," so expect protests outside of the Odyssey later in the year.0

Well who does speak irish? And I mean actually speak it. One of my work mates can say the "our father" in irish. That's all. He identified himself as an irish speaker on his census form.
I once a pent a weekend in a hotel in Amsterdam with a serious bout of vomiting and after two days staring at a tv I could sing all the ad jingles and repeat the slogans. This does not mean I speak Dutch .“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -

Would backward thinking not refer to an attempt to resurrect a language that's been gone from most of NI for a couple of hundred years?
Almost as daft as Ulster Scots?
Whatever you want. Learn irish, tap dance, play the mandolin. Enjoy yourself. Makes no odds to me.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -

Hes expressing his opinion.
Hes not forcing his opinion on others by actively banning them from doing something.0
