Minisitry of Justice Online Test For AO - Failed Again!

  • Your manner comes across as rather aggressive. Perhaps that shows through in your assessment?

Next time you do a test, make a note of the questions, you could do it quickly by taking screen shots. Then post here with your answers and we could give feedback.

As I say, the annoying thing was, even though I gave what I thought were reasonable answers, I was still knocked back.

When someone is recruiting they are looking for what THEY think are reasonable answers. Just because you think they are reasonable doesn’t mean they actually are.

Sounds like you are not suited to this particular job, is there anything else you could try?

But I keep telling you!!!! I have worked in various Civil Service departments for YEARS. So I AM suited to this kind of role. It's just that these tests are now making it difficult to get back in. By the way, EVERYBODY I have spoken to about these tests have agreed with me. So those of you who advocate these tests are in a minority. Fact.

There is nothing aggressive about my manner. I am simply stating how frustrating it is trying to pass these tests. And no, my manner does NOT overlap into my completion of these tests. It is quite ridiculous to even suggest that. Are you overlooking the thousands and thousands of other jobseekers who are experiencing similar problems with these accursed tests??

You may not intend to be aggressive, but that is what is coming across. That is what is important here, how you are perceived by others. Have you tried any relaxation methods?

I do not doubt that some people find these tests frustrating, but equally others will get through them with little stress. I failed one once, but in hindsight it was not the right employer for me.

You do come across as aggressive I am afraid. You also seem to think your view is automatically right and everyone else is wrong.

There will also be thousands and thousands of jobseekers who aren’t experiencing any problems with these tests. Naturally it is those who are experiencing problems who are the most vocal.

Have you tried yoga or something to help you relax and calm down? Also try to be a little more open to others views rather than immediately attacking them and telling them they are wrong and you are right.

I have been knocked back AGAIN by these accursed tests, despite giving different answers this time.

Has ANYBODY managed to pass these accursed tests???

Yes, I've passed a civil service test of this type (easy enough I thought at the time), I failed an Asda one though :rotfl:

But then there are thousands and thousands of jobseekers who ARE experiencing problems with these tests. The careers forums are full of them.

In which case they are fulfilling their purpose as a filtering tool.

When did you last join the civil service? Remember the ethos has changed a great deal in recent years. You may not be the right fit any longer.

Again you are not listening to what I said. I never said there weren’t. I said there are thousands and thousands who aren’t experiencing problems with these tests.

I suggest you stop consoling yourself with this however. It doesn’t matter. You have to take the test as it is rather than moaning that lots of people don’t like it. Either that or try a different career path.
