Most things you buy have a form of sales tax added, be that VAT for adult clothes, tvs, computer games, cake or IPT for insurance products.
Only a few "essential" items are VAT exempt with no alternative sales tax added like kids clothes, books, basic food stuffs, royal mail postage.0 -
If you are a low risk you could try the over 50s providers - some don't resctrict themselves exclusively to over 50 - just low risk.0

As are womens sanitary products but at least contraceptives have a reduced rate of VAT
Of cause dont want to get back into the biscuites (vat zero rated) -v- cake (full vat) arguement as per jaffa cakes0
