May I ask who provided the finance for this particular card, was it definitely GE Money? If so, Santander/ Genworth are liable, and FOS will deal with it. However, if you've still got the insurance policy documents it will state somwehere who the underwriter was, and if it says Finance Insurance Co ltd then its Genworth. I would leave it up to FOS now.0

The initial provider was GE Money, who then sold its card accounts to Santander. The Underwriter of the Policy was Genworth. All have declared that the complaint is not upheld, so yes it is with and I have left it up to the FOS and await their findings.0

Even the FOS can't magic a pre-regulation sale into a regulated one.
If you were able to shw you didn't need the insurance then they most likely they would have refunded. They did in my case. But then, mine may well have been below their threshold, I have no idea why they upheld it.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
