Girl sues CSA

The CSA behave in the utterly uncivilised fashion that they do precisely because they believe themselves to be untouchable since "it would be a waste of taxpayers money" to pay for court cases and compensation.
The alternative is just to lie back and think of bankruptcy. I didn't, I chased them several times and have received substantial amounts of compensation and I have no qualms about that, or about advising everyone who has been mistreated by the CSA to do the same. The more compensation they have to pay, the better. That way, someone may at last notice what a useless bunch they are.
I do agree i've had compensation from them but that's different to suing them cos she had to go without. i put my claim in in aug 06 and my ex is willing to pay but they can't work out how much???? just gone to clerical dpt still getting nothing. but i go without to provide for him maybe i should sue them cos as a child i had to go without and now as a parent i still have to go without. do you want the UK ro end up like America (sueing anything and everyone)0 -
Not particularly, but I'm willing to make an exception in this case.do you want the UK ro end up like America (sueing anything and everyone)Information is not knowledge.

I definitely agree with her suing - however, not on those terms.
As for the 'hasn't got a computer' blah blah... this is something her Mum could have picked up second hand etc etc
Sue them because they haven't got the maintenance owed - but don't give silly reasons that are definitely weak in weight. A judge could quite easily say that the Mum could have bought a computer had she saved her CB/Tax Credits/lived within her means and all the rest of it. OK, we all know that the Mum doesn't have to buy the child a computer... but you see what I'm getting at?
The child could have been bullied over any number of things - how many kids in deprived areas get NOTHING from their parents and aren't victimised, on the contrary.. they become the bullies.0 -
Yes, sorry, I reread the thread and plead guilty to a very sloppy post. What I meant by "this case" wasn't the circumstances outlined earlier, but the general concept of suing the CSA.TheWaltons wrote: »I definitely agree with her suing - however, not on those terms.
I totally agree that suing on these particular grounds would not be a wise move.Information is not knowledge.

Yup indeed... I think more thought should have been put into this suing the CSA business. If this is the first case of its kind, a precedent wont be set at all if the Judges throws it out due to weak evidence - and this really is scraping the bottom of the barrel.
