I have an izettle, 2.7% per transaction and very fast delivery to your bank account.
The other one that I looked at is the Payleven one, you can buy the machines from Screwfix, same rate, but takes a little longer to hit your account.0 -
Interesting post.
I have been using eMerit for the last year or so on a mPOS card machine that is connected via bluetooth to my mobile. As it is paperless, the client only gets a text message or email confirmation.
No monthly fee and a flat rate of 2.75% on all cards.
However, GlobalPayments have just sent me a letter to tell me that they need to upgrade my device to their VeriFone VX 680.
I have no idea if this will work with a Blackberry phone, which was my main stumbling point last year, as there is no landline in my office.
Does anyone know of any other actual card machines that can be connected via bluetooth to a Blackberry?
WorldPay Zinc, Payleven, PayPal Here and iZettle are iPhone and Android only
MPowa does Windows as well0 -
Blackberry are basically looking strongly like they're going bust, so if you're holding onto that handset for their email services, it may be time to move anyway...in which case £150 will get you a lovely Moto G phone, latest Android, quad-core processor phone, bought outright, unlocked, no contract to worry about. You may find that a timely investment.0

Hi,
I've done some reasearch and iZettle and WorldPay Zinc seem to be the best 2 devices, and also for cost and compatibility.
I would appreciate any advice on which to choose!
Thanks!0 -
I use World pay zinc. I was on the ild contract of 3.3% for CC and 65p for DC. It has now been normalised and I get charged 2.75% on everything.
It works via a bluetooth chip and pin machine linked to my ipad. Very ease to set up and very easy to use.
You can also take payment over the phone via the website which is also easy to use.
The money is in my account within 3 or 4 days and I get billed once a month for transaction charges.
Customer service is good.
Unable to comment on iZettle, buy worldpayzinc works for me.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
Not sure if they've still got a referral discount, but there's a thread here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4730854 where you can ask for a Worldpay Zinc referral and may get any current discounts0
