Super, once again I will ignore and update you all on the the next stage for future reference.
Cookie - Don't feel you have to update us, we've seen the template UKPC, DR+ and Zenith letters 100's of times before, the advice in NI remains the same, ignore.
Of course if you need extra assurance, feel free to come back to the board. All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. Edmund Burke Irish orator, philosopher, & politician (1729 - 1797).0 -
Latest on this is I have received a letter from 'Debt Recovery Plus Ltd' asking for £160 by 04/03/14 or they will recommend the creditors solicitor that court action should be taken.0

That's nice - just continue to ignore - you may get Zenith next or another debt collector.0

Yeah, they do a lot of "recommending". With UKPC of course nothing ever comes of it.Latest on this is I have received a letter from 'Debt Recovery Plus Ltd' asking for £160 by 04/03/14 or they will recommend the creditors solicitor that court action should be taken.
You'll get the reduced offer of £120 next, then their last ditch further reduced offer of £80. Continue to ignore with impunity. All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. Edmund Burke Irish orator, philosopher, & politician (1729 - 1797).0 -
Hello everyone. New to this site after just recently falling victim to UKPC's parking scam at Cityside Belfast. As it only happened recently i have not yet recieved any letters, only the PCN that was attached to my window but after looking at a lot of different posts on here it seems that im safe to just ignore what i am about to receive. I just wanted to post here and make sure that this is still the correct advice??
And also, is it worth writing to the owner of cityside to complain?
Thanks in advance

You should really have started a new thread of your own - but yes, you are safe to completely ignore all the nonsense you will get in the coming weeks and perhaps months.
Complain if you wish it won't affect the outcome - you are not going to pay anything - but it will show Cityside that people are unhappy with the PPC situation.
If you were a genuine customer they may well cancel it.
Whatever you do - do NOT tell Cityside who the driver was - speak to them as the registered keeper only.0 -
Thanks alot!
Sorry i didn't realise about creating a new thread so i will do that and post any further updates in there
I think i will write a letter for what its worth because we are regular visitors there and i also used to work in one of the shops a few years ago so i had no idea that they had UKPC parking attendants until i got the ticket!0
