Problem is once one does it they'll all do it.:D

Anchor Spreadable has increased in price too, from £2.90 to £3.25, as seen in Asda last night.
They did have Country Life (not very) spreadable on offer at £2 so I bought that instead.
I had to sneak it out under the lettuce as DH moans non-stop about spending the best part of a fiver on butter. If he had his way, we'd be eating lard/Stork/Utterly Butterly on toast!:eek:"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -

How do you know it is the supplier and not the supermarkets?
And as for posters being unpleasant, I haven't seen it. Just people pointing out shops where Lurpak is currently on offer, alternatives you could try at a lower price and explanations as to why the price might have increased. How is that unpleasant or trollish? A minor sideline about saturated fats - has that really upset you that much?
Lighten up :T0 -

Or perhaps when many people disagree with you wouldn't be a bit more admirable just to admit maybe you've got your priorities wrong or admit lack understanding in a subject rather than insulting everyone who doesn't agree with you?0 -
Lurpak spreadable isn't that spreadable anyway. You might as well just buy the original version.0

Butter is rock solid this time of year. Hard to spread on fresh bread."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

I usually buy Lurpak when it's on special offer, currently 2 for £5 at Morrisons.
But recently I've been converted to Morrisons own brand which has similar tub packaging & tastes just as good.
Lurpak 500g is around the £3 mark when not on offer, but M's is £2 for 500g.
In this instance I prefer the own brand rather than big name.0 -

Ours stays in a ceramic butter dish in the kitchen, so it's always reasonably spreadable. Full packs are in the fridge, but the one we're using is in the dish. It's only in the summer that it goes in the fridge.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
