Soap flakes. We've just found out that the one firm in England that was making them has stopped production for good ... :(

Dri-pak used to do them but only do liquid soap flakes

I have see boxes of soap flakes going for over £250 a box on line:eek::eek: I have still got a couple of boxes that I use for woolies. Maybe I should sell what I have at that price:eek::eek:

  • From the 60s - Birds Eye frozen chocolate mousse. An occasional treat, not defrosted but eaten straight from the freezer as a super-indulgent chocolate icecream!

Plus my granny's gas-fired cast iron griddle - pre-war (if not older). When she came to live with us the griddle came too, and as she was a baker or a cook-housekeeper all her working life there was a constant supply of fresh soda bread! Bought from a shop, or even made in the oven, never tasted quite the same.....
  • Not at all money saving, so my wallet (and waist) are thrilled, but I loved the raspberry and white & plain chocolate biscuits M&S used to sell. They also used to do a lemon meringue biscuit which not enough other people liked.

I miss my Clarins habit. Far too expensive so moved onto Olay 7 effects stuff, still pricey. So I'm now using coconut oil and super drugs own brand serum and moistisers. Under £2 a bottle, lasts for ages too!

I have tried for so long to find Old fashioned Mansion polish as all the sprays Do not smell that nice and leave sears that take a lot of elbow grease to rub off.
I do hope someone knows where I can get it.
Thanks Drinda (80 + just in case you think I am old fashioned.)
