I am trying to plough my way through this thread, so apologies if already mentioned. I remember Sea Jade perfume. It was my teenage favorite along side Aqua Manda. At Christmas I even received a bottle of Sea Jade in the shape of a seahorse.
I remember afternoon tv programs in the 70's that went out live, Pebble mill at one , but there were a couple of soap type programs that were quite good , one I cant remember much about but enjoyed it at the time and the other was a fashion designers , drama / soap type. But they were actually shown live, if you know what I mean. I hope someone can help me out here with my ever failing memory.
Just searched and found one of the programs. It was called Rooms. Live recordings twice a week about life in bedsits. It was good. Can't find the fashion designer one as yet.0 -

I remember a gooey mint filled egg(a bit like a cadburys creme egg but minty), not sure what make it was, my grandad used to buy them just for me.
Spira bars, we were holidaying in Wales when Cadbury first trialled them, think we ate them everyday for a week, then it took them another 6 months or so to roll them out across the country. I was really sad when they stopped making them.
Rounders....Minced beef wrapped in mashed potato and then breadcrumbed. Iceland(when it was Bejams) used to sell these, i loved them, much better than crispy pancakes.
I loved that Tropical Fruit Squash. Up till then we had mostly orange squash, sometimes lemon which I preferred but I loved the tropical. No one else remembers that. As I remember it the taste was nothing like the tropical fruit drinks you get today.
I also thought I was the only one who remembered Tiffan Bars till I read this thread.
Findus Crispy Pancakes: we used to have these in the eighties and nineties. We all liked them so I'm surprised to find most others didn't.
I haven't got to the end of the thread yet but had been thinking about the green tropical squash so had to jump in.

You'd put the ring on one leg (round your ankle) and repeatedly swing the ball round in a big circle so that you could jump over the string with the other leg. My sister loved those.
Yes I remember that. And the klackers. Simple ideas that kept us entertained for hours. Elastic fastened together for jumping games, skipping and two ball. It's no wonder there is so much debt these days when children 'have to have' the latest electronic gadgets etc.
Even games we played as children are remarketed and put in a box and they charge a fortune for them. I think of scattergories which we played with pen and paper and wrote a list i.e. Girls name, boys name, Capitol City, animal etc. someone chose a letter and you had to fill the list in with that letter. So many others too.

I remember this, a bit like House of Elliot but I am sure it was not that. I would love to look on you tube but not sure what to search for.0 -

Iceland still have crispy pancakes in cheese or horse...sorry beef flavours, asda also have the ham and Sweetcorn, or is it chicken and Sweetcorn. Hugh F-W also has a number of recipes for home made ones if you google for them.
Was never keen on Ki-Ora or lilt for that matter, always used to make me sick. It's a myth about E numbers all being bad, lots are just a European code for things that are found naturally, or synthesised versions of natural ingredients.
I miss Secret bars, they were in a gold colour wrapper with card inside and were strings of chocolate around a mousse filling. Must have been ridiculously difficult to transport.
Oh and frozen chicken stir fry, think they were made by findus or birds eye. Chuck in pan for about 15-20mins with a knob of butter and get a lovely mushy stir fry that is about as far from authentic Chinese as you could get, bust tasted yummy. Always used to save the water chestnuts to last.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

A Footso in my childhood days was made with a tennis ball in the end of a stocking. You tied a not at the end where the ball was and another near the top of the stocking to make a loop for your ankle....happy days.0

I noticed that you can buy Aqua manda again. I did notice the bottles are not the same as they were.
Gammon Wotsits? They sound :rotfl:0 -
Gammon wotsits were lovely. They came in a mustard yellow pack.
