Cheetos cheese 'crisps' - like Nik-Naks, but a pungent cheese flavour that made your breath stink and turned your fingers orange. I loved those things!

I haven't thought of those for years - strange how things drift into your head, isn't it?
Back after a very long break!

Yeah! Horlicks tablets - teacher in infants school had a massive tin on the windowsill and we were each given one at the end of the day to have while we listened to our story.
Spangles were another favourite of mine, and PanYan pickle!! Mmmmm!

My friend has a recipe of sorts for panyan pickle , taken from a lady who found a very old original jar with the ingredients listed. She's yet to make it but I'm intrigued.

This thread is amazing. It's as though there is an enormous collective memory - a cloud with all this stuff in it that we tap into subconsciously.

I wonder if today's "yoof" will build similar memories or are things too fleeting nowadays to have any lasting impact ?

Pan Yam pickle. They stopped making it years ago apparently when manufacturer's factory was burnt down and the recipe was destroyed. Wish I could find a recipe which replicated it!

There's also quite a few recipes online where people have tried to recreate it, could be worth a try

Ohhh, horlicks tabs, forgot about them.

Victory V tablets and Mighty Imps too..
I'm not sure if Mighty Imps are the same as Imps, little liquorice pellets packed in a tin?
If so you can get them from Health shops and chemists. They're called Nipits now. They're made by Simpkins and Co., Sheffield.
Digforvictory and I had quite a conversation about them. Hope that she found them for her Dad!

I absolutely loved M&S Burger bites, they were a similar sort of texture/taste to beefy monster munch but shaped like little puffy burgers. I also remember their ready salted 'triangles' too, they were called Deltas I believe.

Does anybody remember ET biscuits, launched in the ET era, now I'm showing my age  They were luminous green & orange & there was also a brown one, like custard creams but kind of 'fizzy'. I loved them....

Oh, & Piglets... Crisps, like little hollow pigs.... yum, & now chicken in a basket crisps are coming back to me too.... Not sure why they were called that, they were like little wicker crisps
