Now that we are seeing better defended cases come up, PE's snow-them-under approach is no longer working, so they may have to go for quality rather than quantity (if they are capable of such).0 -
For those of you who want a good laugh, don't forget that this is still up on PE's website (with a date of September 2013):-
Unfortunately a number of motorists receive misguided and often misleading advice from online forums who claim that ParkingEye's charges are 'unfair' and 'illegal'. Previously this advice urged motorists to ignore all correspondence from ParkingEye, advice that has meant that ParkingEye has had to take legal action to recover the unpaid Parking Charges. Further to this many motorists, on receiving a claim form, visit these sites for a 'robust' template defence. This sort of defence, and all that have subsequently followed, have failed to convince any County Court Judge that ParkingEye's charges are unfair, disproportionate or a penalty. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Well done
I presume Bargepole that it's from December 2012 (not 2013) , yes ?

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -

I have got a parking eye ticket for parking in a mecca bingo car park on a Sunday evening. Unfortunately as it was dark and the car park was very full I did not notice the pay machines and my reason for parking there was to attend the bingo. I have emailed the bingo hall but they have not replied so am going to call them tomorrow. Do you think they can reverse this as it's their car park and they will be able to see on their computer system that I paid for bingo?
I am not a regular attender and it was the first time I had driven and parked in the car park

Put the claim in if you do it again, give the money to charity if need be, but make them have to pay it.
Counter claiming is also a very good idea, however once it is established no contract ever occurred in the first place it must become harrasment and tort against persons for stress related personal injury.
Putting people through months of stress when they never had a contract with them to start with and a judge says so !
This is how you would really get one on them.
Someone really needs to start having a go at this lot, a court loss is not enough, they need a proper kick up the backside.Be happy...;)0
