Currys - Problem with 3d tv

We purchased a 42 inch lg 3d tv back in May 2013.
The tv is now only 8 months old and under warranty.
We had reported to Curry that we had a fault with the tv and that the sound kept going funny on it.
We were originally advised to turn it off at the wall to reset and turn it on again.
We did this and it kept on playing up.
The sound became increasingly worse last Friday we decided enough was enough and asked for the tv to be looked at.
They did not offer a replacement tv to us whilst ours was being repaired.
When the tv came back last night, the screen was filthy dirty and had fingerprints on it.
It had not been cleaned under the valet.
We turned the tv on and to our annoyance the picture started going funny.
It kept flickering light and dark.
We did not have this problem prior to it being repaired.
I phoned Curry's this morning and reported to them our disatisfaction with the repair and that now another fault had occured and that the tv was dirty.
I need to ask: if the tv comes back and there is another problem with it, what can we do!!?
We paid £800 for the tv and that as its only 8 months old we feel quite angry its developed another fault after it had been repaired.
Any advice please thank you.

The TV being dirty is a slight irritation but really not something to get hung up about unless you were promised a valet as part of the service.
At present you appear to have had two unrelated faults. The retailer is within their rights to choose if to repair, replace or refund with you only being able to express a preference. If you continue to have further problems and more if you continue to have the same problem reoccuring then you have a stronger case to argue for a solution other than repair.0 -

Thanks for the reply, yes the full clean was quoted and was even written on the invoice concerned, so why I complained.
I will need to wait and see when the tv is returned next week, but to develope 2 faults and for the cost of the tv and its only 8 months old is unacceptable.0 -

Did you note the serial number?
Often in these cases once they've ascertained its a fault and not water damage etc then they tend to ship out an already repaired one. Yours then gets repaired and shipped to the next person whos fault is confirmed as genuine.
In theory shouldnt make any difference as your still getting a reconditioned unit but of cause if their repair hadnt been done right it can explain why your newly repaired TV suddenly develops a different fault when you get it back0 -
