Tesco do wholemeal spaghetti for 2 for £1.50 in my area. I prefer wholemeal spaghetti to other brands of wholemeal pasta but as I said before asda do a decent sized range.

Asda do wholemeal rice as well. If anyone shops at approved foods you might get wholemeal pasta and rice, am sure they were doing wholemeal pasta a while back.

I got quite a lot of brown rice from approved foods a while back.

The peanut butter I just finished was sun pat and has 95 per cent peanuts, the one I usually buy is tesco everyday value, it has 87 per cent peanuts, I like the crunchy one.

I have to say Ive eaten more cake this last couple of days than Ive eaten in the last year, my birthday was on Thursday.

Back to it tomorrow. I also had some wine, but thats me back to not drinking again now.

I also didnt do a scrap of exercise on my birthday, well, apart from the classes I taught but my exercise routine wasnt derailed, just my eating habits

Im going through a very not motivated phase when it comes to eating, happens every now and then, nothing seems to work food wise.
Need to start making more soup again, definitely the weather for soup at the moment I think.

I have some sweet potatoes I need to use up so I'll buy some spinach tomorrow and cook a curry.
  • Paulineb I'm sure we all have times when we fall off the wagon.

But it was your birthday- congrats- hope you enjoyed the cake?

The sweet potato and spinach curry sounds nice.

I too need to make soup and I think make some bread too.

I plan to eat out of the cupboards and freezer this week so I can then refill it with good stuff, although I am going to keep one drawer with some easy tea stuff for my boys. I have 2 x chronic illnesses and some days I just can not function at all.

Also I think baby steps, and replacing food stuffs one by one, coconut fat is the next one.

Yes, the cake was fabulous, I took some in for the people who do my classes and I ate the leftovers, one after the other, my brother said to me this morning, thats why you shouldnt eat cake, I said to him, I actually dont, not sweet toothed, but I enjoyed.

Im planning on making a stir fry with wholewheat noodles later on, will use spinach as well, some green tabasco sauce too, really like green tabasco but you can hardly get it, got it from approved food.

My eating habits are generally good, but I go through phases where nothing suits me and everything tastes like carboard. Not because I dont want to cook either, think its possibly because I dont eat much bread so I dont fill up with sandwiches and sometimes Im like, what can I have.

Im not a big cereal eater either. I dont like porridge but I do like oatcakes so try and eat a few of them, I did a shop in wilkos, farmfoods and B and M today, could hardly carry the stuff to the bus stop, but farmfoods do frozen veg really cheaply, much better than a lot of supermarkets.

I think the weather isnt helping either, looking forward to it brightening up and I'll make more salad stuff as well.

    Evening All :)

Dinner tonight: http://agirlcalledjack.com/2013/04/09/jardaloo-ma-murghi-curry-with-apricots-22p/ served with Brown Rice.
Not sure this is 100% Clean, but slowly does it.

I am glad you had a nice Birthday, Pauline :) Cake sounds delicious!

The stir fry turned out really well, I put spinach in a wok with an orange pepper and microwaved a steam veg pack from farmfoods, had carrot, cauli, peas in it, added some green tabasco and some cashew nut and just stir fried, wholewheat chilli noodles that I got in home bargains as well

Im positive Im not totally clean eating but at least Im not treating my body like a toxic waste dump which I have in times gone by.

I am slowly having an eat up, 1/2 jar of curry paste from freezer and packet savorory rice with tea last night.
Thinking of getting a veg/fruit box delivery again. Used Riverford and a local man before, but see they Abel & Cole one deliver in my area, anyone used them?
Found a local farm shop whose beef is a similar price to the supermarket, but it's grass fed, well it was until all the rain!
Had a green smoothie the last few days for breakfast, bought myself a Ninja prep pro, I have problems going to the toilet, made worse by medication, so I thought this at £40 would be a good idea as I get the fiber too, did look at a juicer but over £100 for a good one.

    Just an update from me.

I have changed all rice, pasta and bread over to wholemeal now. I didn't think I would like it, but I really do!
Also, I need to eat less of it as it's quite filling :)

I have only lost 2lbs, but as long as I lose a little, I am happy.

I no longer eat white potatoes either, I now eat sweet potatoes (YUM!).
Eating clean about 70% of the time and feeling very happy with my decision to 'go clean'.

    How is everyone else doing?
