  • Went to Costa del Sol last year. Stayed in Fuengirola then Cala de Mijas. Left end February and returned 18th March. We got 6 hours of sunshine in three weeks. Wet and windy every day. Sea was crashing over the sea wall in Benalmadena.Week before we went it was apparently lovely and weather turned nice after we came home.

This year we are going on 18th March for three weeks so fingers crossed.

Yes, I was in Fuengirola at the same time last year and it was the worst weather I have ever seen on the Costa in 10 years of regular visits.

Rain is very rare but at least if it does happen then at least the food and drink is cheaper than back home - and the exchange rate is getting better which helps too.

Do you have to go at that time of the year? 14-18c is freezing for a beach hol. I guess it's ok if you're just sight seeing.

Benidorm ticks all of your boxes, and once you've been, you'll be hooked.

I can't imagine ever wanting to go there if the television programme is anything to go by :rotfl:
