We are looking at going to Benidorm or Costa del sol, which is the busier place to go to ? Also, where in the Costa del sol would you reccommend, someone mentioned Torremolinos ?
I dont like flying which is why we have narrowed it down. Dont want to be in a place which is too quiet, like browsing shops and markets. Like some entertainment on a night and basically thats us happy
Also, is it best booking now or will holiday prices drop during Feb ?
thank you.

Came across this thread - I love the Costa Del Sol. Torremolinos is great and sounds like just what you were looking for. I always book flights as far in advance as possible - they probably won't be cheaper in Feb because of half terms etc. Hope you had a great trip wherever you decided to go!0

I have been to Costa Del Sol in Feb/March. We stay Benalmadena, love the marina there.
we also visited torremolinos.Fuengirola.Marbella,Puerto Banus,Gibralter there is so much to do and so many places to visit,
i have only been to Benidorm once but that was November0 -
The Marina in Benalmadena is lovely - that is my favorite place to go in the Costal Del Sol! Plus the beaches all round the Marina are more natural and spacious. If you want to spend a little less money on food I always walk away from the Marina back down the beach and there are loads of quality restaurants at better prices. That definitely sounds better than the foggy UK weather right now.0

I would pack some warm bits just in case, but the weather is usually nice though. Quick Google search says that the average temperature in March is around 14 - 18 degrees0

it was a couple of years ago when we last were there, during the day it was t-shirt weather, but some nights the breeze could be cool.
when we went during the day it was a whole lot warmer than 14-18 but i would pack something warm if u are out and about on a night just incase0 -
There are a few Riu hotels on the Costa Del Sol, have a look at this below. Book three weeks before you want to go through Thomsons Late Deals.

I love the Nerja area and have been twice late-Feb and early-March.
Nerja is less touristy than some other places, but still a lot going on. Lots of restaurants, bars, Arts Centre where there are more local people than tourists attending! We saw top flamenco dancers there, visiting performers, rather than the ones performing nightly for the tourists. And tickets about half the price.
Sea temperature was like local Welsh coast in summer, so we enjoyed our swims. Locals thought we were mad, as they regard it as freezing at that time of year!
Can be quite cold at night. One year we were unlucky to have quite a lot of rainy days, so be prepared.
One rainy day we took a bus trip into Malaga, which a lot of visitors forget is more than an airport! I tend to avoid big cities, but Malaga was surprisingly pleasant. Enjoyed visiting the palace there, and sampling the food; easy to find restaurants used more by locals than tourists. I think it also now has a major Picasso museum. Something to consider, wherever you are on the CostaDel Sol.0 -
Thank you very much for the help. think we may just hang out and try and get a cheapy0

AT that time of the year it is usually nice enough for sitting outside with T shirts during the day but it can get chilly at night as the wind can pick up off the sea so it's worth packing a coat.
Of all the resorts along the Costa, I like Fuengirola the most - but there is a cheap and reliable train service which runs along the coast from Malaga to the airport and along to Fuengirola so it's easy to explore the other towns and see what takes your fancy.0
