Hi everyone,
lots of stress around at the moment so hugs to JG, NPM, HH, Molly and anyone else that needs one.
I need one too, but at least I'm going home today so DH can give me one (a hug - minds out of the gutter).
Mum is still in hospital but I have decided to go home and come back when she is out of hospital, my brothers at good at visiting her when she is in hospital but not so much (apart from one) when she is at home. My youngest brother is a star who visits mum every night, shops for her, cleans and cooks and stays with her when she needs it. The other two who live nearby will do emergency things, I'm 200 miles away but try to get up every couple of weeks. My eldest brother who lives 250 miles away hasn't been up since dad's funeral last February!
Anyway, seeing mum like she is has made me resolve that this is the year I get myself properly fit. I have tried not to let myself go and have problems with exercise because of joint and muscle pains but I am really going to try. Mum has been morbidly obese for 50 years so that has contributed a lot to her condition, I'm overweight and need to get down to an ideal weight. Watch this space.
Sorry for boring on, I need to get cracking with my packing and cleaning this house for DD and DS and their partners to come up to stay next weekend.
Talking of DD she was at the National Television Awards last night - I only saw it on her Facebook, she must have got a last minute invitation because she didn't mention it when I spoke to her in the afternoon. I think she got to meet Mary B and Paul H.0 -
Morning:D
Hideous day yesterday. Received Noah's proposed amended statement ready for secondary school. I was shocked and appalled to see they had lied on there.....basically to present his case to the panel as less autistic than he is!
Therefore feasible fr mainstream. I am fuming:mad::mad:
Such gems as " Noah does not feel his autism causes him any problems"....erm what??? he is sooooo angry at autism for making his head not work properly etc....and it causes his low mood and suicidal ideation.
" Noah is confident in going to and from school with minimal parental support"!!!!! ...... He can't even get to the end of the road.
Further down they state" Noah has no idea of road safety"..... Yes that's more like it.....but massively contradicts the other statement.
So I foresee a long depressing road ahead to sort school place:(
I've started looking into it all and I already have SEN code of practice and other legal documents but its all so in depth and my background is medicine not law:eek:
I lay in the bath last night paralysed with fear at the idea of sorting it all and had a tearful meltdown....I have aspergers myself so I have many of the problems Noah has but as an adult you are expected to act in a more neurotypical manner.
Donny thank you:A.....this is partly what angers me about all this. I can leave housework to concentrate on Asher but I have to do all this paperwork etc and its so time consuming. Why should I have to spend less time with my baby just because the government don't recognise the need for school places!
Anyhoooooo rant over.
Just about to wash up and wash kitchen floor that I've been trying to do for 4 days now lol.
Sausage and mash and veg for tea.
Got loads of portions from the ragu sauce I batch cooked yesterday so pleased with that.
Sainsbury delivering this morning.
Asher saw health visitor yesterday.....weighs 22lb and is on 91st centile the fatty. Also been referred to ophthalmologist as she has left eye squint....DH has it as do his 6 sisters and their kids.
Right...nasty niff from baby so off to sort...laters xxxxx0 -
Morning everyone , wet and cold here today. Got soaked walking the dogs earlier , they enjoyed the run over the fields even if I didn't. So washing machine is currently washing my muddy jeans and their muddy coats. Still have an earache but it's not as painful as it was on Monday. Dd is off school again , she suffers from very painful periods and has days where she struggles to even get out of bed, she has to keep a 4 month diary before the dr will send her to hospital for more tests, this is month 3 , luckily school are very good about it and supplies work for her to do whilst off.
Dinner is spag Bol, using some reduced steak mince I got from tesco Christmas Eve for 25p
Will make a cake as going to see friends tomorrow to help them pack up their house as they are being evicted by their landlord as he wants to sell the house, they are putting a lot of stuff in my garage to save on storage costs as they are being put in the councils hostel till they are rehoused.
Normal housework to do today
Hope you all stay safe and warm today0 -
Morning all,
DS2 is 17 today so I have been busy icing the buns I made yesterday. Rather than make a large cake I've done seventeen buns. I had great fun with the icing thingy I bought. I am amazed by the lovely pictures you see of some people's icing, mine is very amateur!! I suspect there is a knack to it! He has his first driving lesson on Sunday, then he will be telling me how to drive!
He requested deep pan pizza, oven chips, baked beans and HM potato salad for dinner tonight, so that's nice and easy.
Very wet here this morning. I have to pop back to Burton's shortly to exchange the t shirts I bought DS2. Then I'm at work and have to buy the dinner food on my way home.
Hugs to all and have a good day0 -
Morning all,
awake bright and early this morning. The cold woke me up.
Household chores all done and dusted ('scuse the pun) and the 'Girls' are waiting for their dinner. Good grief its only 11.30! I don't think I can ignore their 'I'm starving' barks and dances much longer.
Middle son has just been to collect a letter. I had to do a bit of patchwork on his relationship with his Dad. His Dad gave him a right earbashing over Christmas when he saw him last which was not deserved and resulted in 'Middler' storming off in a huff. Not only did hubby get a lecture from me, I needed to build a few bridges between them. Anyway, a letter had come for our son so it was the ideal opportunity to talk to him.
I really don't know whats wrong with hubby. Nothing is ever good enough. I'm not good enough, our kids aren't good enough. Why does he think we all have to qualify to share the same airspace as him? I really don't understand him at all. Almost 29 years of marriage and I still don't understand his logic.
Oh well, I'd best get on, before I spill my guts out (not literally) and take root.
Have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Afternoon everyone
Dinner last night was venison which went down amazingly well with my 5 year old. She kept going back to get more and more or less ignored the pasta which my mum served with it. I told everyone not to mention Bambi to her while eating it, heehee. And it was a bargain as well. Iceland getting rid of all their Christmas stock. Only £5 for a big lump of meat.
Woke up this morning to my dog frantically panting around my bed. Thought she was trying to tell me that something was wrong with one of my girls, so ran downstairs (as the 5 year old had taken my phone to play some game at 6.20am), but nope, she was trying to tell me she was sorry for messing in the house. Now I’m thinking there may be something wrong with her as she looked so sorry for herself this morning and dogs only look like that when they really feel carp and she’s never messed in the house before, so…. I didn’t say anything to the dog (blimey I’m talking like she’s a human!), just cleared it up and carried on. Bit like what I do when my 3 year old has an accident, haha!
Lunch today is leftover pasta from last night with salami mixed in. Yum. My mum thinks I’m a bit OTT when it comes to not wasting food, haha.
Dinner is fish fingers and curly fries as girls haven’t had them in a while and after last night’s posh dinner, we’re slumming it!
HONEYB17 – staying in doesn’t necessarily mean not spending. There’s always the internet these days!
REDRUBY – I really need to sort out my clothes. I literally live in one pair of work trousers and one pair of jeans as all the others are too small. Eek! Really should do something about shifting the stone I put on by indulging in too much Baileys at Xmas.

Afternoon all,
Had a nice day with hubby today. He had a day off so woke up slowly had a nice breakfast. I can't go anywhere but it's been nice having him for company.
Tonight the boys have football so we have a chippy tea and then I have a couple of hours alone.
I'm working hard doing my exercises, they are very painful but I'm still pushing it as I want to get better as soon as possible.
NMP I haven't a clue how you cope, but I think your amazing. You will get there. It never fails to amaze me how plss poor the education system is when dealing with this kind of situation.
Not much happening in my world at the moment, I need to be more patient, enjoy your evening xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

NPM How disgraceful it seems that all government lackies do is lie just to deny people the care and benefits that they are legally entitled to, and none of them can be trusted :mad::mad:Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Back from the course and it's scared me to death re litigation and documentation
On the up side we went to a pub chain for lunch and I only spent £3.50 for a toasted sandwich chips and a drink , there was a deal on the panini and drink and then I got 20% NHS discount to on top of that :j:money:
Day off tomorrow and I need to tidy , the place is a mess and covered in a thick layer of dust due to DH sanding The ceiling where he had taken some coving down
NPM I know it's hard but you have to keep fighting the b@st@rds. They can't win xx0 -
Sistercas is it the Legal medicine course you did?
Scary isn't it!
Ending up in Coroners scared me into how much I needed to document. It was a doctors mistake but I was in charge of patient when he bled out so we all had questioning :eek:0
